This presentation explores the transformative potential of molecular self-assembly strategies in building the next generation of electronics and energy conversion devices. The spontaneous formation of biological substances, such as human organs, is driven by complex 3D self-organization protocols at the molecular level, guided by various stimuli. Understanding the fundamentals of these molecular self-assembly processes is critical for fabricating advanced technological components inspired by nature.

We propose and experimentally demonstrate a groundbreaking 3D printing method based on molecular self-assembly monolayer principles. This method introduces self-healing properties and represents a conceptual departure from traditional 3D printing protocols. Our molecular building-block approach leverages metal ion-mediated continuous self-assembly of organic molecules at liquid–liquid interfaces to construct 2D and 3D structures with nanoscale precision. Using this technique, we successfully printed nanosheets and 3D rods using dithiol molecules as foundational units.

By bridging the gap between natural self-organization and advanced manufacturing, these techniques hold the promise of revolutionizing not only the electronics and energy industries but also healthcare and material sciences, opening up new avenues for innovation and sustainability.

L'Algérie est confrontée à des défis multidimensionnels dont ceux directement liés à la technologie, sachant que, depuis plusieurs décennies notre pays s'efforce à s'approprier les industries vitales à son développement économique et sociétal. L'analyse a montré que plusieurs facteurs s'opposent au transfert de technologies, à savoir : le manque de connaissances, le manque de financement, la mauvaise communication, le manque d'infrastructures et le mauvais timing. En réponse à ces impératifs de développement, le transfert technologique constitue une partie d'une démarche à mettre en œuvre pour s'approprier les nouvelles technologies.

Le savoir constitue la pierre angulaire de la concrétisation d'un transfert technologique. Dans cette optique, ce travail aborde la problématique de l'énergie durable sous l'angle de l'Open science. À travers des modèles de transfert réussis, nous allons examiner quelques dimensions clés telles que le développement des compétences, l'innovation et les progrès technologiques où l'intégration de la science ouverte à l'énergie illustre son véritable potentiel à améliorer la collaboration et l'accessibilité de la recherche dans les pratiques du secteur.

Des appels à la transition vers les énergies renouvelables se multiplient, ce qui nécessite un effort concerté entre diverses disciplines et institutions. Comme il s'agit d'un problème mondial, la recherche sur l'énergie propre doit être ouverte, afin que nous puissions rassembler ces disciplines et aider à limiter le changement climatique ensemble.
