Within the framework of the NATO programme “Science for Peace and Security”, an Advanced Training Course titled “Critical Energy Infrastructure Protection: Innovative Structures and Materials for Blast and Ballistic Protection” will be held in Algiers from the 22nd to the 25th of March 2021.
The ATC event is coordinated by the Military University of Technology of Warsaw-Poland and the Ecole Militaire Polytechnique of Algiers-Algeria.
The principal aim of the ATC2021-Algiers is to bring together engineers and scientists from NATO and partner countries interested in the protection of critical infrastructures against terrorist attacks, and to share their research and operational experience.
The event will create awareness about safety and security challenges that involve the design of new materials and new protective methods against blast and ballistic threats.
The speakers are researchers and experts with a significant experience on blast and impact related phenomena, dynamic behaviour of materials and structures, and innovative protection techniques.
The audience consists of PhD students, industry engineers and scientists from NATO and partner countries who are involved in activities related to the protection of critical infrastructures. The attendance will acquire valuable knowledge on these fields which will certainly help them in their research and development activities.
This ATC will also provide networking opportunities for the both speakers and trainees for future collaborations and development of modern technologies for technical protection systems that will provide safety and security of critical infrastructures.
